Reports: reading your team's health
Mermix turns your plan and your logged work into reports that answer the questions planners and managers actually ask — Are we on track? Who's overloaded? Are we making money? Is our data clean? Open Reports from the top navigation (available to Admins and Planners).
The dashboard is organised into four tabs. Every report has a period selector where it makes sense, and most export to Excel with one click.
Project Health
Are we on track and profitable?
- Executive Report — a one-page weekly briefing: a written summary, schedule health, per-project financials, what changed this week, and the four-week outlook. Export it to PDF for your stakeholders.
- Profitability — budget vs. actual per project: money spent so far, cost to complete, and projected profit against the value you sold. (Needs per-project budgets set in Portfolios.)
- Schedule Adherence — how well the plan is holding: adherence %, what's overdue, not started, late, on track, or completed, with a per-project breakdown.
Capacity & Resources
Who has room, and who's drowning?
- Capacity Heatmap — a forward-looking grid of each person's booked utilisation, week by week. Click a cell to see the tasks behind it. Green means room, red means overbooked.
- Utilisation Trend — capacity vs. planned vs. actual hours over time, so you can see whether the team is consistently over- or under-committed.
Actuals & Worklogs
Where did the time actually go?
These reports read the worklogs synced from Jira and can show cost, revenue, and margin when you've set resource rates.
- Hours by Project — planned vs. actual hours per project, with variance and money columns.
- Hours by Resource — logged hours vs. capacity per person, plus a project/epic breakdown.
- Detailed Resource Worklogs — every individual worklog entry, with a pivot by resource, project, or issue.
Click Sync Worklogs (in the Reports header) to pull the latest logged time from Jira before you read these.
Data Quality
Is anything going to bite us later?
- Sync Status — when each project last synced, and any changes still waiting to push to Jira.
- Scheduled Without Effort — planned tasks with no estimate (they can't be sized accurately).
- Unscheduled — backlog work still waiting for a slot.
- Outside-Team Contributors — people logging time to your projects who aren't on your team, so nothing slips through unnoticed.
What each role sees
- Admins and Planners get the full Reports dashboard.
- Board members get a purpose-built read-only dashboard with the headline risks and portfolio health.
- Engineers see the reports relevant to their own work.
Tips
- Set resource rates (Settings → Resources) to unlock the cost/revenue/margin columns in the Actuals reports.
- Sync worklogs regularly so the Actuals and Capacity numbers reflect reality.
- Prefer a quick answer? Ask the Copilot — "show me utilisation for next month" — and it builds the chart on the spot.
