You get 14 days on the Starter plan — no credit card needed. Before the trial ends you'll receive a reminder to choose a plan: continue on Starter (€79/mo), upgrade to Team (€199/mo), or Enterprise (€499/mo). If you don't subscribe, your workspace is paused but your data is kept for 30 days so you can pick up where you left off.
If you need to evaluate Mermix with more than 25 resources, the simplest path is to subscribe Team for one month (€199), evaluate at full Team scale, and cancel anytime if it's not the right fit — you keep access until the end of the month with no further charges. Most buyers do this once they've felt the product on the Starter trial. Enterprise (€499/mo, up to 400 resources) is self-service too — subscribe directly from the Shop. Above 400 resources, or if you need a PO, SLA, or data-residency terms, contact sales for a Custom plan.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. We don't refund payments you've already made, but you keep full access until the end of your current billing period and you're not charged again. Your data is preserved for 30 days after cancellation — reactivating within that window restores everything as it was. After 30 days, your workspace is deleted. Monthly subscriptions: cancel today, keep access until end of this month, no charge next month. Annual subscriptions: cancel today, keep access until end of your annual period (you've already paid for it), no renewal next year.
A resource is a team member you schedule on the calendar — typically a developer, designer, analyst, or any engineer whose capacity you're planning. Resources are the only billing axis: portfolios, planner accounts, board-member viewers, and projects are all unlimited on every plan.
A planner user is anyone with an Admin or Planner role — the people who schedule tasks, approve plans, and manage the calendar. Board-member viewers (read-only stakeholders) are always unlimited and free. Planner users are unlimited on every plan too — you can invite as many co-planners as you need without upgrading.

Yes — every scheduled resource can be given an Engineer login at no extra charge. Engineers see their own assigned tasks and can update progress. The login itself is free, but each engineer is one of your scheduled resources, so the count of engineers you can plan is bounded by your plan's resource cap (25 on Starter, 100 on Team, 400 on Enterprise). Adding more engineers means scheduling more people, which is what the resource cap measures.
An active project is a Jira project you've connected and is actively syncing in Mermix. Archived projects are excluded from sync (and hidden from the calendar) but their data is preserved for historical reports. There is no project cap on any plan, so archiving is a sync-control convenience — not a limit workaround.
Because it would be arbitrary. Scheduling 100 Jira projects with 10 resources doesn't cost us more to serve than scheduling 5 — the constraint is on the people you're planning, not on the number of Jira configurations. Every competitor leaves projects uncapped; we do too. We cap the one real value metric — planned resources — and leave the rest alone.
Portfolios group related projects, resources, and planners — typically by department, product line, customer, or industry vertical. Each portfolio has its own scope: planners only see their portfolio's data. They're unlimited on every plan, including the trial. We used to cap them, and it was a mistake: how many portfolios you need depends on your team topology, not your size — a 25-person org split into Frontend, Backend, QA, Data, Platform and Mobile needs six, while a 200-person org running one delivery stream needs one. Capping that would have punished you for modelling your organisation accurately. Resources are the only thing that changes between plans.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You get the new plan's features, limits, and AI credits right away. Billing is prorated — you receive a credit for unused days on your old plan and are charged only for the remaining days on the new plan. From the next billing cycle, you pay the full new plan price.
Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, not immediately — you keep everything you've paid for until then, and there's no mid-cycle refund. We'll show you the date it takes effect, and you can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before it lands. Your usage must fit the new plan's resource limit — if you have 40 resources and want to switch to Starter (25 max), you'll need to deactivate some. Portfolios, planners and projects are unlimited on every plan, so they never block a downgrade. At the renewal you're simply billed the lower price, and the new AI credit allowance starts then too.
On upgrade, your AI credits reset to the new plan's full monthly allowance — a fresh start. On downgrade, your current usage is preserved and the new (lower) monthly allowance applies at your next billing cycle reset. Top-up credits are never affected by plan changes.

Your plan runs until the end of your current billing period — you keep full access to everything you've paid for. After the period ends, your workspace enters a 30-day grace period where you can still view your data (read-only). After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. No refunds are issued — you always get the full value of what you've paid for.
Yes. During your billing period (before it expires), you can undo the cancellation with one click — no new payment, everything continues as before. After your period ends, you can resubscribe to the same plan from your account. Your data is preserved for 30 days after expiry, so if you reactivate within that window, everything is exactly as you left it.
The AI Planning Copilot lets you query your plan in plain English, generate capacity charts, export Excel reports from chat, and reschedule tasks — all from a chat drawer alongside the calendar. The AI model available depends on your plan.
Each copilot message costs a fixed number of credits depending on the model: 1 credit for Haiku, 5 for Sonnet, 20 for Opus. Your plan includes a monthly allowance (300 to 1,500 credits) that resets each billing cycle. If you need more, you can buy top-up packs that never expire.
These are different AI models powering the Copilot, each with a different balance of speed and depth. Haiku is fast and efficient — ideal for quick queries, status checks, and simple scheduling actions. Sonnet is more capable — better at complex analysis, multi-step planning, and nuanced recommendations. Opus is the most powerful — suited for deep strategic analysis, large dataset reasoning, and advanced scenario planning. All plans include Haiku. Team adds Sonnet. Enterprise unlocks all three including Opus. You can switch models per conversation in the Copilot settings.
Mermix connects to Jira via Atlassian's OAuth 2.0 — you grant access from Atlassian's consent screen, and you can revoke it anytime from your Atlassian account settings. We never store your Jira password. Your data lives in an isolated database per organisation, never shared across customers. Learn more about our security practices.
