What happens after my trial?

You get 14 days on the Starter plan — no credit card needed. Before the trial ends you'll receive a reminder to choose a plan: continue on Starter (€79/mo), upgrade to Team (€199/mo), or Enterprise (€499/mo). If you don't subscribe, your workspace is paused but your data is kept for 30 days so you can pick up where you left off.

What if Starter caps don't fit my evaluation?

If you need to evaluate Mermix with more than 25 resources, the simplest path is to subscribe Team for one month (€199), evaluate at full Team scale, and cancel anytime if it's not the right fit — you keep access until the end of the month with no further charges. Most buyers do this once they've felt the product on the Starter trial. Enterprise (€499/mo, up to 400 resources) is self-service too — subscribe directly from the Shop. Above 400 resources, or if you need a PO, SLA, or data-residency terms, contact sales for a Custom plan.

What does "cancel anytime" mean?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. We don't refund payments you've already made, but you keep full access until the end of your current billing period and you're not charged again. Your data is preserved for 30 days after cancellation — reactivating within that window restores everything as it was. After 30 days, your workspace is deleted. Monthly subscriptions: cancel today, keep access until end of this month, no charge next month. Annual subscriptions: cancel today, keep access until end of your annual period (you've already paid for it), no renewal next year.

How does this compare with apps priced per Jira user?

Many Jira apps are priced on every user of your Jira site. Mermix is priced on the people you plan. If 400 people use your Jira and you plan 40 of them, you pay for 40 — the Team plan, €199 a month — not for 400.

Does the Enterprise plan include single sign-on (SSO)?

What counts as a "resource"?

A resource is a team member you schedule on the calendar — typically a developer, designer, analyst, or any engineer whose capacity you're planning. Resources are the only billing axis: portfolios, planner accounts, board-member viewers, and projects are all unlimited on every plan.

What is a planner user?

A planner user is anyone with an Admin or Planner role — the people who schedule tasks, approve plans, and manage the calendar. Board-member viewers (read-only stakeholders) are always unlimited and free. Planner users are unlimited on every plan too — you can invite as many co-planners as you need without upgrading.

Do you cap planner seats?

No — Admin and Planner users are unlimited on every plan, as are Board-member viewers. You pay for the people you schedule on the calendar (resources), not for the planning team that operates Mermix.

Do my engineers need a Mermix login?

No. Engineers keep working in Jira. When you push the plan, Mermix writes each task's dates and assignee back to Jira, so engineers see their assignments in their daily stand-ups and in the Jira calendar. Mermix logins are for the people who plan and the people who follow the plan: Admins, Planners and Board members.

What counts as an "active project"?

An active project is a Jira project you've connected and is actively syncing in Mermix. Archived projects are excluded from sync (and hidden from the calendar) but their data is preserved for historical reports. There is no project cap on any plan, so archiving is a sync-control convenience — not a limit workaround.

Why is there no project cap?

Because it would be arbitrary. Scheduling 100 Jira projects with 10 resources doesn't cost us more to serve than scheduling 5 — the constraint is on the people you're planning, not on the number of Jira configurations. Projects stay uncapped: we cap only the one real value metric — planned resources — and leave the rest alone.

What are portfolios, and are they limited?

Portfolios group related projects, resources, and planners — typically by department, product line, customer, or industry vertical. Each portfolio has its own scope: planners only see their portfolio's data. They're unlimited on every plan, including the trial. We used to cap them, and it was a mistake: how many portfolios you need depends on your team topology, not your size — a 25-person org split into Frontend, Backend, QA, Data, Platform and Mobile needs six, while a 200-person org running one delivery stream needs one. Capping that would have punished you for modelling your organisation accurately. Resources are the only thing that changes between plans.

How does upgrading work?

Upgrades take effect immediately. You get the new plan's features, limits, and AI credits right away. Billing is prorated — you receive a credit for unused days on your old plan and are charged only for the remaining days on the new plan. From the next billing cycle, you pay the full new plan price.

How does downgrading work?

Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, not immediately — you keep everything you've paid for until then, and there's no mid-cycle refund. We'll show you the date it takes effect, and you can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before it lands. Your usage must fit the new plan's resource limit — if you have 40 resources and want to switch to Starter (25 max), you'll need to deactivate some. Portfolios, planners and projects are unlimited on every plan, so they never block a downgrade. At the renewal you're simply billed the lower price, and the new AI credit allowance starts then too.

What happens to my AI credits when I change plans?

On upgrade, your AI credits reset to the new plan's full monthly allowance — a fresh start. On downgrade, your current usage is preserved and the new (lower) monthly allowance applies at your next billing cycle reset. Top-up credits are never affected by plan changes.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes — annual billing saves 20% compared to monthly and is a 12-month commitment. You can switch from monthly to annual at any time to start saving. Toggle above to see annual prices.

Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

Switching from monthly to annual is available anytime — it takes effect immediately with proration, and you start saving 20% right away. Switching from annual to monthly is available in the last month of your annual commitment and takes effect at your next renewal date. This ensures you always get the full value of your annual discount.

What happens when I cancel?

Your plan runs until the end of your current billing period — you keep full access to everything you've paid for. After the period ends, your workspace enters a 30-day grace period where you can still view your data (read-only). After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. No refunds are issued — you always get the full value of what you've paid for.

Can I reactivate after cancelling?

Yes. During your billing period (before it expires), you can undo the cancellation with one click — no new payment, everything continues as before. After your period ends, you can resubscribe to the same plan from your account. Your data is preserved for 30 days after expiry, so if you reactivate within that window, everything is exactly as you left it.

What is the AI copilot?

The Mermix AI copilot lets you query your plan in plain English, generate capacity charts, export Excel reports from chat, and reschedule tasks — all from a chat drawer alongside the calendar. Every plan gets the same copilot; plans differ only in how many messages a month are included.

How do AI credits work?

One credit is one copilot message. Your plan includes a monthly allowance — 150 on Starter, 450 on Team, 800 on Enterprise — that resets each billing cycle. If you need more, you can buy packs that never expire: 50 messages for €7, 150 for €19, or 400 for €49 (prices exclude VAT). Top-up credits are used only after your monthly allowance runs out.

Which AI model does the copilot use?

The copilot runs on a leading AI model from Anthropic. We choose the model — the one that gives the best planning answers in our own testing — and move to a better one when it appears, so you never have to pick or keep up. Every plan, including the trial, uses the same model.

Is my Jira data secure?

Mermix connects to Jira via Atlassian's OAuth 2.0 — you grant access from Atlassian's consent screen, and you can revoke it anytime from your Atlassian account settings. We never store your Jira password. Your data lives in an isolated database per organisation, never shared across customers. Learn more about our security practices.
