Resource planning and management for Jira
Jira tells you what the work is. Mermix tells you who can do it and when. See every person's capacity across projects, catch overloads before they turn into missed dates, plan around leave and public holidays — and push the result back to Jira.
Jira tracks issues. Planning people is a different job.
Around their leave, their country's holidays and their real working days, task by task and across portfolios. Most teams end up answering resource questions in a spreadsheet that is out of date the day it is made.
Who is overloaded?
Assignments are spread across projects and boards, so nobody sees that one person has three weeks of work due in one.
Who is free next month?
Taking on new work means guessing, because future capacity — with leave, holidays and cost — isn't visible in one place.
What about leave and holidays?
A plan that ignores approved leave and national holidays is wrong before it starts — and only shows it when dates slip.
Everything you need to plan people, not just tickets
Team calendar
Every person's Jira work on one drag-and-drop calendar, by day or week. Move, resize or reassign a task and see the effect straight away.
Capacity heatmap
Planned load for each person, week by week, coloured by utilisation. Click any cell to see the tasks behind it.
Overallocation warnings
Tasks that push someone past a working day are flagged on the calendar, so overloads are visible while there is still time to fix them.
Leave, holidays and part-time
Import approved and pending leave from a spreadsheet. Public holidays come in automatically from each person's country. Part-time? Set each person's working days and hours.
Planned vs actual
Worklogs sync from Jira. Utilisation, hours by person and project, schedule adherence — and cost and margin when you set rates.
AI planning copilot
Ask "who can take this in September?" or "rebalance Maria's work". The copilot answers from your plan and proposes changes you approve.
Plan from capacity, not from the ticket list
Resource planning starts with a simple question: who has time, and when? Mermix answers it from your Jira issues and your team's real working days.
Start from who has time
See each person's planned hours for the coming weeks, with leave and public holidays already taken out, before you assign anything new.
Schedule the backlog
Drag unscheduled Jira issues onto the calendar, or ask the copilot to place them by priority and dependencies. Each task is sized from its estimate.
Plan across teams
A person shared between teams shows all their work, including what another portfolio has planned for them, so two planners never book the same week.

Plan on the calendar
Assignments land on your team's calendar; unassigned or undated work waits in the backlog until you schedule it.
Push back to Jira
Review what changed — dates, assignee, estimate, sprint — and push it to Jira in one step. Jira stays the source your team works from.

Jira resource planning and management questions
What is the difference between resource planning and resource management?
Resource planning is deciding who does what and when, against the days each person can really work. Resource management is keeping that plan true as things change: leave, new work, slipped dates and cost. Mermix does both on the same calendar, and Jira stays where your team tracks the work.
Does Mermix replace Jira?
No. Jira stays where your team tracks work. Mermix reads your issues, lets you plan people and dates on a calendar, and pushes the dates, assignees and estimates you change back to Jira.
Does it work with Jira Server or Data Center?
Mermix works with Jira Cloud. You connect it with your Atlassian account in a few clicks; no API tokens to copy.
How is Mermix priced?
By the number of people you plan, not by seats. Starter is €79 a month for up to 25 resources, Team €199 for up to 100, Enterprise €499 for up to 400. Planners, projects and portfolios are unlimited on every plan, and there is a 14-day free trial.
Does it account for leave and public holidays?
Yes. Import approved and pending leave from a spreadsheet; public holidays are added automatically from each person's country. If someone works part-time, set their working days and hours. Capacity then reflects the days and hours people can actually work.
