The AI copilot: what you can ask

Mermix includes an AI copilot that knows your plan — every allocation, the backlog, time-off, sprints, and who's overbooked. Ask it a question in plain language and it answers from your real data; ask it to make a change and it proposes exactly what it will do before anything happens.

Open it with the AI copilot tab, or from any screen with Cmd/Ctrl + K.

Analyse your plan

The copilot reads the same data you see and can reason across all of it at once. Try:

• "Who's overallocated next week?"
• "Find a free two-day slot for Maria before the 20th."
• "Summarise the status of the Payments project."
• "What's on the critical path for the mobile release?"
• "How many hours did we log to each project last month?"

Answers often come back as a chart — a workload heatmap, a capacity bar, a trend line — rendered right in the chat.

Make changes by chat

You can also ask the copilot to do things:

• "Move the auth task to next Monday."
• "Reassign everything on Tom's plate this sprint to someone with capacity."
• "Schedule all of Sprint 3's backlog."
• "Rebalance the team so nobody's over 100%."

For anything that changes your plan, the copilot shows a proposal you approve first — a small confirmation card for a single change, or a full before/after preview for a bigger reshuffle. Nothing is applied until you say so, and you can un-tick individual items you don't want. If you don't like a proposal, ignore it; it simply expires. An approved change is a change to your plan in Mermix: it reaches Jira when you next push, like a change you make by hand.

Export in seconds

• "Export the team's utilisation to Excel." → a ready-to-download spreadsheet.
• "Give me a one-page executive briefing." → a written summary in the chat. Export in the copilot header saves the conversation as a PDF.

What it costs — AI credits

Each message you send to the copilot uses one AI credit. Your plan includes a monthly allowance — 150 on Starter and the trial, 450 on Team, 800 on Enterprise — and a small badge in the copilot shows how many you have left. Credits reset every month. If you run low, buy a pack from My Account → Shop: 50 messages for €7, 150 for €19, or 400 for €49 (plus VAT). Packs never expire and are used only after your monthly allowance runs out.

Every plan uses the same AI model. We choose it — the one that gives the best planning answers in our testing — and move to a better one when it appears, so there's nothing for you to pick or keep up with.

Who can use it

Tips

• Be specific about time and people — "next week", "before the 20th", "on Maria's row" — and the copilot targets exactly what you mean.
• It won't invent things. If your data is thin (no estimates, no assignees), the copilot says so rather than guessing — the fix is usually better Jira data, see How to configure Jira for Mermix.
• It's your fastest help channel. Most "how do I…" and "what's happening with…" questions are answered instantly here, from your own workspace.
