Your account
Start at mermix.io. Enter your organisation's name — it becomes your workspace's address — then your name, your work email and a password. Tick the box to accept the Terms; only then can you start. No credit card: you start on a fourteen-day trial. An email arrives. Its button verifies your address and takes you straight to connecting Jira. Your workspace is created at the end, once Jira is connected.
Setup
Setup has four steps: Connect, Projects, Team, Calendar. First, connect with Atlassian and accept: Mermix reads your projects, issue types and people. Pick up to three projects to start with, and the issue types to plan — Story, Task and Bug are ticked for you. You add the rest later. Import your team from Jira. Set each person's country, so their public holidays are taken off their capacity.
Your calendar
Mermix builds your workspace and your calendar from Jira, then tells you what it did: how many issues are on the calendar, how many wait in the backlog, and how it placed each one. One row per person, a bar for each piece of their work. Everything you picked lands in the Lobby, your default portfolio. The legend names the thin stripes above each person's bars: time off, pending leave, public holidays, and work in another portfolio. A red line on a bar means that person is overallocated, and the red badge beside their name counts the days they are over. That's it: Jira is connected, and your first calendar is ready.
